1 Tbs vegetable oil
Cabbage head (core removed then shredded in large chunks)
2 slices bacon
1 onion
1 carrot
1 Tbs ginger (slivered)
1 Tbs garlic (slivered)
4 large dash's tabasco
1 Tbs oyster sauce
2 Tbs Shoaxing wine
Cornflour dissolved in 1 cup of water
Variations:
dried egg noodles blanched and grilled, bean sprouts,
Baby sweet corn. Whatever. |

Heat oil in wok and add carrot and fry 2 minutes.
Add bacon and onion. Fry 30sec
Add garlic and ginger fry 30sec
Add cabbage, (bean sprouts, fried noodles or other optional elements.) Toss 1 minute
Add Tabasco, Shoaxing wine, oyster sauce and then cornflour and water. Stir
then cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Then remove cover and stir occasionally till cabbage is just cooked, at
most a few more minutes. |
